We Need Your Help

Even if you are not sure if you will be able to attend the reunion, I would like to ask that you send several photos, via email, so that we can attempt to generate a slide show for our September Reunion. smcraeahs1975@gmail.com

Probably as a guideline, we could set a minimum of five photos and a maximum of 10 with you "our Classmate" the central figure in all the photos. So lets say a family photo, one with your children, possibly a wedding or birthday photo of some sort, and of course grandchildren photos are a must. If you have a scanner and want to throw in several old photos from grade school and high school that would be even better!

The idea is to get to know one's life in as short a time as possible, and I believe as we were always told, "A picture is worth a 1000 words". So can you help us out and start deciding on what you want us to see about your life? I sure hope so, cause at one time in our lives we were all interested in one another, and it would be nice to wrap those missing 35 years into a collage.

Oh yes, there is a lead time on this request as well. The sooner the better is the rule of thumb! No waiting till the last minute like we used to do in Jack Dickson's classes! I'll send out additional reminders as stuff comes in.

Oh, I do want you to know, if you are a scanner freak and want to send more "OLD PHOTOS" we will accept additional photos from you, especially if they show classmates being fools!

Be Good!
Steve

Missing classmate addresses

Help us find contact information.

We mailed out the Save-the-Date cards and with the addresses we have not been able to obtain, and those cards that were returned these are the classmates we are still trying to contact. If you are in contact with these folks, please tell them we are looking for them, so that we can invite them to our reunion.

Class of 1975 35th Reunion

It has been nearly 35 years since our proud parents reveled in our graduation night. Some of us may remember that evening, others might be a little hazy depending on when the party started. But on that evening we went our separate ways, but we are all still tied explicitly to the times we spent at Atchison High and the friends we made so long ago.

It's time to renew those friendships and relive the past. Yes, reliving those fond memories can be a wonderful adventure that at times makes those aches and pains of advanced adulthood melt away. A reminder of beer, football, cheerleaders, and those young shining faces is what we offer on September 24-26th. Three days of Atchison, it will be a blast!

The AHS Homecoming is Friday night September 24th, and we will follow that up with a social hour. If weather permits, golf is on tap for Saturday morning. Shopping and a "Haunted Trolley tour of the "Most Haunted Town in Kansas" can be an afternoon option. Saturday evening will be a dinner and dance for those who can still get their groove on. We've tossed around plans for Sunday for those wishing to attend. but for now that is still up in the air. We thought of honoring our fallen classmates with an outdoor service at Warnock followed by a picnic lunch, but would hate to have the weather cancel this. We'll discuss this a little more at our next meeting, but most classes opt to not have a Sunday event due to travel departure plans.

We still need everyone assistance in gathering missing addresses. Listed below are those classmates who we are still missing or out of date addresses. If you are able to contact them, or provide any information, please email it to me at smcraeahs1975@gmail.com.

So by now, if you are actually reading this Blog, you either received a "Save-the-Date" card via postal service or from FaceBook. Place your card on your frig as a reminder, add the dates to your planners, or outlook, and keep checking back from time to time for updates and information about our reunion and our classmates. Keep in mind all the fun memories we made in high school and our opportunity to make more memories at this reunion. We will be sending out application forms with event costs sometime before June 15th.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you in September.

Finally

I'm finally getting the Save-the-Date cards mailed out to the classmates who do not follow Face Book. I've enjoyed making contact with all of you, and it is amazing how in some cases we can pick right back up with very little prompting even after 35 years.

Jane Ramsey Hart asked that I place Hotel information on the Blog to make it easier for you to find accommodations, so here it is. Don't hesitate, I know of a few girls that are already looking into some of the prime real estate in Atchison for their weekend retreat. For a little extra cash, I'll disclose their whereabouts for those of us who are still mischievous.

There is also one additional hotel, (used to be behind Bob's Big Boy Restaurant), but I could not locate the information, and I have been told it is not as desirable as the others listed below. I'll do some further checking when time permits.

Note: The newest hotel in town is the AmericaInn.
